Sources for this guide
Every factual claim on the Flipping is Hard Wiki is paraphrased from the pages below. They were read on 17 October 2026. The guide does not add mechanics, prices, controls, or area layouts that these pages do not support. The list includes the Steam store, the developer site, and two launch reviews.
Steam
- Flipping is Hard on Steam. English store page for app 3826670. Used for the short pitch, release date, developer, publishers, genres, solo and 16-player co-op, feature tags, the 10-language table, minimum and recommended PC specs, the Windows client footnote, Chill mode, quick restarts and built-in splits, the 16-NPC line, cosmetics, phone games, the US price of $14.99 discounted to $9.74, the introductory-offer end date printed as October 30, the Positive review label, and the tooltip that said 90% of 21 user reviews were positive. Official header and screenshots were downloaded from the Steam CDN addresses on this listing.
- Flipping is Hard - Supporter Pack on Steam. Used for the $9.99 cosmetic downloadable content and the three outfits: a cursed phone, a wizard phone, and a gold phone. The store says they are cosmetic.
The same store page also showed a bundle titled Flipping is Hard x Supporter Pack at $17.76, reduced from $22.48. That price was read from the game's purchase area, not from a separate article.
Elegant Horse Studios
- Flipping Is Hard official site. Used for camera-relative rotation, the high jump and the long jump labeled with Space, the ten-area theme list, Help Beam behavior, proximity chat, lobby privacy, the about-seven-hour playtime, Chill versus Hard versus the planned Insane mode, the demo window of 12 December 2025 to 28 September 2026, and the 16 October 2026 17:00 UTC release time.
- Official press kit. Used for the fact sheet, W A S D, the hazard list, the 18-NPC wording, Tab and the phone OS, the spoiler request covering late areas, the final boss, and the ending, Unity 6 and FMOD, the studio biography, and the demo's 107,000 players.
- The Trashlands world page. Used for the names and blurbs of The Storm Drain, Cardboard Fort, The Playground, and Candyland, the early cast, the statement that Flippy is a brick phone rather than a flip phone, controller family names, and the 12-language list that includes Brazilian Portuguese and Turkish.
- Official creator hub. Used for the note that each co-op player needs a copy, the invite-only lobby wording, muting in-game voice when a group already uses Discord, and the line that the first four areas are the ones to show.
- Official community page. Used to cross-check the 107,000 demo-player figure and the three-person Vilnius studio description. Tournament names on that page are not reprinted in the guides.
Launch reviews
- DualShockers review by Shane Limbaugh, 16 October 2026. Used for the publication's 8 out of 10 PC score, the description of Chill as a checkpoint option that still requires clearing hard gaps, the comment that a no-checkpoint run can last much longer, the note that the bring-up tool is not available alone, and the reviewer's remarks on later puzzles and the narrator. Those remarks stay attributed to the review.
- The Wand Report review by Grace Dean, 16 October 2026. Used for Hard versus Chill, the Microwaver as a catch-up ride, the phone-game names Fnake, Flippy Bird, and Floppy Road, and texture notes about ice, neon, candy, and a chocolate river. The reviewer's account of one fall is not treated as a general rule. One character name in that review is omitted because the studio's world page withholds the rest of the cast.
Read and not used
- POG.com game profile. A browser build with its own control list, including a middle-mouse hold. It is not the Steam release, so its bindings are not in the control table.
- Flipping Is Hard training site. An independent practice site. It agrees that rotation is camera-relative, which the studio already says. It was not used for routes, records, or extra inputs.
Images
Every photograph on this site is an official Steam store image for app 3826670, saved from the Steam CDN into this site's image folder. Captions describe what is visible in the frame. They do not add area titles the image itself does not print, except where a studio page already named the matching character or theme.
